Corrections Policy — Digital News Point
Accuracy is the product. Digital News Point corrects errors promptly, transparently, and in a way that preserves the record. This policy applies to every desk and every format, including headlines, captions, images, video descriptions, and social posts.
What counts as an error. Factual mistakes (names, dates, figures, titles, places), misattributed quotes, wrong images or captions, misleading headlines, and material omissions that change meaning. Disagreement with emphasis or interpretation is not an error, but we will consider reasoned complaints.
How to report. Use the Contact page or email [email protected] with the article link, the passage, the correct information, and a source we can verify. Anonymous reports are welcome where the fix is independently verifiable.
What we do. Verified errors are corrected in the article as soon as practicable. Material corrections carry a visible correction note stating what changed and when. If an error undermines a story’s central claim, the article may be withdrawn with an explanatory note. Headline errors that change meaning are corrected and noted. Image errors are corrected by replacement and caption fix, with a note where the error was material. We do not silently rewrite published history to hide mistakes; trivial typographical fixes that do not affect meaning may be made without a note.
Timelines and records. We aim to acknowledge correction reports within two business days. A log of material corrections is kept by the newsroom. Repeated errors on a beat trigger review of sourcing for that beat.

Clarifications and updates. Sometimes an article is not wrong but incomplete as events develop. In those cases we update the story and, where the development materially changes understanding, add an update note with a timestamp. Clarifications that change meaning carry a note; background additions that do not affect accuracy may be incorporated without a note.
Right of reply complaints. A person or organisation that believes coverage is unfair may write with specifics: the article, the claim, and the factual basis for complaint. Where a material factual dispute remains unresolved, we may publish a response or statement with attribution, at editorial discretion and subject to law and standards.
Images, captions, and social posts. A wrong or misleading image is an error of the same seriousness as a wrong fact. Social posts that repeat a corrected error are corrected or deleted with a pointer to the corrected article where practicable.
Annual review. This policy is reviewed at least annually by the publisher. Suggestions for improving it may be sent to the publisher at the address on this page. The current version takes effect on 10 October 2026 and supersedes earlier versions.
Standards that apply to everything on this page. Regardless of topic, work produced or published under this page follows the same newsroom discipline: facts are verified before they are asserted, sources are identified or characterised honestly, company and official claims are attributed as claims, and uncertainty is stated rather than hidden. Where new information changes a published account, the corrections policy governs the fix and the note that accompanies it. Images, where used, are relevant, decent, and properly licensed, with licence records retained so that provenance can be demonstrated on request. Nothing is published merely because it is available, quick, or likely to attract attention; the test is whether it is accurate, fair, and of genuine use to readers.
Working with the publisher. All formal business concerning this page is conducted with the publisher, 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States, email [email protected]. Readers should identify the page and, where relevant, the article or campaign concerned in the first line of any message. The publisher does not discuss one partner’s confidential terms with another, does not disclose newsroom sources, and does not negotiate editorial coverage. Enquiries that respect those boundaries receive a substantive reply; enquiries that do not will be declined without extended correspondence.
