Former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino believes Chelsea could part ways with Graham Potter as their manager this week.
The Blues have been on a downward spiral throughout the campaign and they are currently 10th in the standings with 31 points.
Potter is currently the subject of immense criticism from the fans, but the hierarchy are still not looking to dismiss him.
Writing in his column for The Times, Cascarino has now predicted that Potter could leave this week if the winless run continues.
He said: “Boehly is clearly in a hurry to get Chelsea competing for titles again, so why would he be content to allow mediocrity under Potter? I would not be surprised if the head coach was dismissed this week.”
Chelsea have won just two of the previous 14 matches in all competitions.
They are scheduled to face Tottenham Hotspur on the road on Sunday afternoon and another defeat could pave the way for Potter’s departure.
The Blues don’t have any readymade candidates to replace him, but there are suggestions that Jose Mourinho would be open to another reunion.
