Animals
A caller left a voicemail at 10:50 a.m. alleging her neighbor mistreats animals and alleged elder abuse, weapons violations, and dog law violations at 261 Newbury St. On callback, the woman was advised that Peabody Animal Control does not enforce TP bylaws. The woman was advised park property is private property, and PAC does not have the authority to cite her neighbor. An officer told the woman he would look into the two dogs’ and two cats’ vaccination records. The officer also told the woman he would follow up on dog licenses.
A woman received a verbal warning to vaccinate her two cats and one dog, and to secure a license for the dog as soon as it was vaccinated at 1:01 p.m. at 261 Newbury St. She was warned she would be cited immediately if she allowed vaccinations and license to lapse again.
