Manchester United have identified Celtic defender Josip Juranovic as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka this month.
The Croatian star was tremendous at the recent World Cup and United are now determined to sign him ahead of potential rivals.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, they have already held talks with the player but want to offload Wan-Bissaka before signing him.
Wan-Bissaka has been the second-choice right-back this season and reports claim that he could be sold to Wolves very soon.
This would free up funds for the Red Devils to purchase Juranovic. Celtic are looking for around £17 million to sanction his exit.
Torino and Monza are also interested in his services, but Juranovic has apparently stalled talks with them due to the Red Devils.
The club have asked him to wait for a few days such that they can sort out the departure of Wan-Bissaka on some kind of deal.
Wan-Bissaka could leave on a short-term loan with a buy clause.
