Liverpool have reportedly joined Chelsea and Arsenal in the race to sign Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia this summer.
The Belgian signed for the Saints from Manchester City last summer and he has been a terrific acquisition so far.
The youngster has been excellent with his work rate and ability to win duels. He is already a huge fan favourite.
Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly keen on landing his services but it appears Liverpool have entered the pursuit.
Jurgen Klopp‘s side are planning a huge midfield rebuild this summer and they could land more than one midfielder.
Lavia has been identified as a potential target, but the teenager won’t come on the cheap with a price tag of around £50m.
Meanwhile, City have the option to re-sign Lavia for £40m, but their clause does not become active until June 2024.
Hence, Southampton have the negotiation power this summer and they could sell Lavia for the highest price on the table.
