Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie has no plans of leaving the club this month amid interest from Chelsea.
The Ivorian joined the Catalan giants from AC Milan last summer, but he has been a fringe player in the current campaign.
This has led to suggestions that he could be loaned out with Chelsea keen, but Sport claim that the midfielder will stay put.
Kessie is ready to fight for his future under manager Xavi and aims to see out the rest of the campaign with the Blaugrana.
The news will come as a huge blow for the Blues, who are determined to land a top quality defensive midfielder this month.
Kessie would be a brilliant signing on loan with an option to buy, but a deal seems improbable at the current point of time.
They may have to look at different alternatives and could revert to Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo once more.
Their opening proposal of around £55m was turned down last week.
