Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana is set to join Union Berlin on a season-long loan, according to Bild.
The 22-year-old signed for the Blues from Molde in the January transfer window with a huge reputation.
However, he barely played for the Blues in the back end of the season. He made just four appearances for them.
With the arrival of Nicolas Jackson this summer, the club have now decided to loan him out to Union Berlin.
Berlin have already agreed terms with the London giants, and Fofana is expected to give the green light.
Chelsea are planning multiple signings ahead of the new campaign, and they are likely to pursue a marquee striker.
Jackson was in fine form for Villarreal in the final months of last season, but Mauricio Pochettino wants more experience.
Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic is a top target for the Argentine tactician, but the Bianconeri want at least £69 million for him.
Vlahovic is reportedly open to pursuing a fresh challenge, having struggled to adapt at Juventus under Massimiliano Allegri.
