Chelsea have made it clear that they don’t want to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in exchange for Romelu Lukaku this summer.
The Bianconeri have already agreed terms with Lukaku over a transfer, but they can’t afford to pay the €40 million asking price.
As a result, they have proposed a part-exchange deal to Chelsea. The club want €30m plus Lukaku as a makeweight for Vlahovic.
The Blues were interested in signing Vlahovic in the past, but manager Mauricio Pochettino has no desire to land the Serbian.
The former Fiorentina man has had a tough time with injuries, and the Blues are reluctant to secure his signature this summer.
Meanwhile, Lukaku seems unlikely to make the move to Turin. The Blues have advised him to consider a switch to Saudi Arabia.
While the English and Italian transfer windows will close on September 1, the Saudi transfer market will be open until September 20.
This could be beneficial for some clubs to recoup valuable funds.
