Barcelona and Chelsea are reportedly keen on landing Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram this summer.
The Frenchman was touted to leave the Bundesliga outfit in January, but he made a surprise U-turn to stay with the club for the campaign.
As a result, he will walk away when his contract expires in June and Sport claim that Barcelona and Chelsea are leading the race to land him.
The Blues proposed to sign the World Cup finalist during the final days of the January transfer window, but they could not persuade him to leave.
The west London giants are ready to try again at the end of the season but they could miss out on his services to Xavi Hernandez‘s men.
The Blaugrana are currently seven points clear at the top of the Spanish La Liga and they look on course to lift the title at the end of May.
In comparison, Chelsea are 10th in the Premier League and may not even play in Europe next term. Hence, Thuram is likely to prefer Barcelona.
