Manchester United and Liverpool could give competition to Arsenal in the race to sign Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha in January.
The Portuguese was on the cusp of leaving for Bayern Munich last summer, but a deal broke down in the final hours of deadline day.
Palhinha underwent his medical and photoshoot with the German champions, but he was called back after a replacement was not found.
Bayern have since cooled their pursuit of the player, but he could yet secure a high-profile transfer away from the Cottagers, as per Todo Fichajes.
Arsenal are already looking into a deal for him and it is reported that United and Liverpool could also provide competition in the transfer race.
The Gunners see him as a replacement for Thomas Partey. United, on the other hand, could offload Casemiro in order to sign the Portuguese.
Liverpool are still yearning for a defensive midfielder and Palhinha would be perfect for them. He is one of the league’s best tacklers.
