Manchester United are planning a surprise move to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann in January.
The Frenchman has been in scintillating form for the Spanish giants this term and he has already netted 12 goals from 16 games.
His top showing has caught the eye of United, who are long-term admirers. Nacional claim that they could sign him this winter.
Griezmann currently has a low release clause of £22 million in his contract and United would have no difficulty in activating it.
The Red Devils are also prepared to hand him a bumper salary of £350,000-a-week in order to leave Madrid for Manchester.
The 32-year-old is currently committed to the La Liga giants, but his stance could change when the transfer window reopens in January.
He has been linked with a Premier League for a long period of time and could be tempted to test himself in the back end of his career.
Griezmann has also been linked with Saudi Arabian clubs, but he has no intention of moving to the Middle East at the moment.
