Chelsea have been handed a big boost in signing Rafael Leao during the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
The Blues were hot on the trail of the Portuguese last summer, but Milan made it clear that he was not for sale at any price.
However, the west London giants could get a second chance with Leao yet to negotiate a new long-term deal with Milan.
The club have so far failed to convince him over a renewal. He could be sold this summer with his contract expiring in June 2024.
Chelsea have been closely monitoring him lately and Calciomercato claim that the Blues could make a renewed attempt for Leao.
The Blues were willing to pay as much as £63m last summer and Leao could be prised away for a similar package this time around.
Manchester United have also been linked with the Portuguese, though their priority for the summer is a specialist centre-forward.
Leao has played up front during his career but he is more dominant from the left side of the attack similar to Marcus Rashford.
