Manchester United could make a January swoop for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele as they brace for Cristiano Ronaldo‘s exit.
Ronaldo recently made rash comments on manager Erik ten Hag and the Glazers during an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
As a result, the club are planning to terminate his contract and this could coincide with the purchase of a low-cost striker this winter.
Dembele has been one of the players that has been regularly linked, and he could be available for just £10 million in the New Year.
The Frenchman was in superb form for Les Gones last campaign, registering 22 goals and five assists from 36 games in all competitions.
However, he has chipped in with just two goals from 12 outings this term. The arrival of Alexandre Lacazette has reduced his minutes.
Despite the lack of form and game time, the former Celtic man would be a solid signing for the Red Devils to cover up Ronaldo’s exit.
Dembele would also be considered as a home-grown player, having started off his senior playing career from the ranks of Fulham.
